Senso.cloud Recognised for Meeting Online Safety Standards in Education
Senso.cloud is deeply committed to safeguarding children in educational environments by providing advanced online monitoring and filtering solutions tailored for schools. Our solutions have been designed to help educators create safer digital spaces, detect concerning behaviour, and ensure that students are protected from harmful online content.
This recognition confirms that Senso meets the UKSIC’s rigorous standards and aligns with the Department for Education’s Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance for schools to have “appropriate filtering” in place.

“So, what does this mean for schools?”
Stay on Top of Compliance:
Senso.cloud supports schools in meeting their statutory safeguarding obligations as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
UKSIC’s strict criteria require accredited filters to block all illegal content. Senso achieves this by integrating the Internet Watch Foundation’s URL list and the Home Office’s CTIRU terrorist content list, which ensures that harmful material such as child abuse imagery and extremist content is effectively filtered.
This protection directly supports schools in fulfilling their Prevent Duty and keeping students safe from online threats.
But safeguarding goes beyond blocking illegal content. Senso’s smart filtering technology helps schools strike the right balance between protection and access, allowing students to explore educational content without unnecessary overblocking.
This is a growing concern across the education sector, and Senso is proud to lead with a solution that supports exploration and learning online while keeping pupils safe.
Independent Validation = Confidence
Making the internet a safer place, especially for young people.
The UK Safer Internet Centre (UKSIC) is a nationally recognised partnership of leading online-safety organisations (Childnet International, the Internet Watch Foundation, and SWGfL) dedicated to making the internet a safer place, especially for young people.
Recently, UKSIC launched a new filtering accreditation scheme to formally assess and approve filtering systems against these standards. Under this scheme solutions undergo rigorous evaluation of their technical capabilities and suitability for school use. UKSIC’s accreditation gives schools the confidence that Senso’s filtering has passed this rigorous testing and is a reliable solution that meets the needs of schools. As one of the few UKSIC-approved providers, Senso.cloud stands out for its strong commitment to safeguarding and proactive leadership in edtech safety. By using Senso’s filtering system, your school will have the highest standards of online protection in place to keep students safe.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything Senso.cloud does:
At Senso, we believe technology should support safeguarding in a meaningful and practical way, not just meet minimum requirements. Receiving UKSIC’s approval is an important achievement, but it reflects only part of our broader commitment to improving online safety in education.
We were among the first companies to pursue this accreditation, showing our proactive approach and willingness to lead. As the digital landscape evolves, bringing new challenges such as social media risks, VPN misuse, and changing online behaviour, our development team and safeguarding specialists work continuously to update the Senso platform and introduce innovative features that respond to the changing needs of modern education and safeguarding. This reflects our ongoing commitment to placing safeguarding at the centre of everything we do.
