Assisted Human Monitoring, Managed Service

Human review. Every alert. Around the clock.

Assisted Monitoring Services adds a specialist human moderation layer to Senso Safeguarding Monitoring. A UK-based team reviews flagged events 24/7/365, triages false positives and escalates genuine concerns, so your DSL team sees what matters.

Separately priced managed service, not included in any Senso software plan

Assisted Monitoring Services is a distinct managed service contracted and priced separately from Senso Safeguarding Monitoring software. It is not included in Senso Enterprise or any other software tier. It requires Senso Safeguarding Monitoring as its detection foundation. Contact Senso to discuss service parameters and pricing.

What is Assisted Monitoring Services?

A managed human layer on top of Senso detection

Senso Safeguarding Monitoring detects keyphrase activity, visual content and behavioural indicators across managed student devices. Assisted Monitoring Services means a specialist team, not an automated system, reviews each flagged event before it reaches your safeguarding staff.

Human reviewers apply professional judgement to identify false positives, prioritise genuine concerns and escalate to your Designated Safeguarding Lead within the parameters of your service agreement. Your DSL receives escalations, not a raw alert feed.

Who this is for

Assisted Monitoring Services is used by schools and trusts where safeguarding teams need support managing alert volume, maintaining out-of-hours coverage, or reducing the time burden placed on Designated Safeguarding Leads.

Primary outcomes

What Assisted Monitoring Services delivers for your school

Reduced DSL workload

Safeguarding monitoring generates alert volume. Human triage means your DSL receives escalations, not a raw feed. DSL teams spend time on students who need attention, not on filtering system output.

Faster response to genuine concerns

Because escalations are pre-triaged and contextualised, DSLs can act quickly on genuine concerns. The information needed to make a safeguarding decision arrives with the escalation.

Coverage when staff cannot monitor

24/7/365 human review means safeguarding events outside school hours, at weekends and in holidays are handled, without relying on school staff to monitor outside working hours.

How it works

From detection to your DSL, with a human in the loop

1

Senso detects activity

Senso Safeguarding Monitoring detects keyphrase activity, typed-but-not-submitted text and visual content on the student's managed device. A flagged event is generated with contextual evidence.

2

Event queued for human review

The flagged event enters the Assisted Monitoring Services review queue. A UK-based specialist picks up the event for review against agreed safeguarding criteria.

3

Professional triage

The reviewer applies professional judgement, not keyword matching alone. False positives are dismissed. Contextually ambiguous events are assessed against the student's recent activity history and prior flags.

4

Escalation to your DSL

Genuine concerns are escalated to your Designated Safeguarding Lead within agreed service parameters. Your DSL receives a prioritised notification with context and case notes, not a raw alert.

5

Your team acts

Your DSL team reviews the escalation and takes action in accordance with your school's safeguarding policy and procedures. Senso provides the evidence and audit trail; your team holds the safeguarding responsibility.

Designed for safeguarding teams

Your DSL should focus on what needs action, not every flag

Safeguarding monitoring generates alerts. The volume of those alerts, including false positives, places significant workload on Designated Safeguarding Leads. Assisted Monitoring Services applies human professional judgement before any escalation reaches your team.

The result is a DSL team that receives contextualised escalations rather than a raw notification feed, able to focus on students who need support, not on triaging system-generated volume.

Every event reviewed by a human

No automated-only escalation. A trained specialist reviews every flagged event before it reaches your team.

Faster DSL response when it matters

Pre-triaged escalations rather than raw alerts mean DSLs spend time on genuine concerns, not on assessing whether an alert is real.

Out-of-hours coverage without school staff

Student activity continues outside school hours. Assisted Monitoring Services provides the same review quality at 2am as at 2pm, without requiring school staff to monitor.

Your school's safeguarding policy

Senso and Assisted Monitoring Services support safeguarding practice. Compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements remains the school's responsibility.
