School IT management software

Central endpoint visibility and remote IT support for schools, at any scale

Senso IT Operations gives school and trust IT teams centralised control over every managed device. Remote support, script execution, device visibility, security checks, policy actions, application and USB control, software inventory, and service desk workflows, all managed from a single console, across a single school or an entire multi-academy trust.

Because IT Operations runs on the same Senso platform as Safeguarding Monitoring, Web Content Filtering and Classroom Management, device data, identity and policy are shared. IT teams have context alongside safeguarding and filtering data, without switching tools or manually correlating exports.

One Senso platform, with platform-specific deployment components managed through one console. Schools deploying IT Operations can add further solution families, Filtering, Safeguarding, Classroom Management, without replacing existing infrastructure. One deployment, one platform.

How it works

From ticket to resolution -- without leaving the console

IT Operations, Service Desk and Asset Management connect so your team can move from issue to fix in one place.

1

Issue reported

Teacher or staff raises a request via Service Desk or direct contact with IT

2

Device located

IT finds the device in the Senso console by user or device name

3

Remote action

Script, remote control or power action applied directly from the console

4

Resolved

Outcome logged with timestamp, administrator and resolution note

When an issue is raised via Service Desk, IT Operations provides remote access to diagnose and fix the device, while Asset Management holds the device record -- purchase date, warranty status and deployment history. All three connect within the same Senso console, so your team resolves issues without switching between tools.

Remote Support

Resolve issues without leaving the IT office

Remote IT support for schools means fewer desk visits and faster resolution times, whether supporting one building or ten.

Endpoint Visibility

See what is happening on every device

Full endpoint visibility means IT teams can diagnose, audit and report on every managed device across every school site, without physical access.

Application and Device Control

Control what runs. Know what is installed.

Application control

Application control allows IT administrators to specify which applications can run on managed school devices. Rules can be applied at organisation, school or device group level. Blocked applications are prevented from launching, reducing software licence exposure, managing distraction apps, and enforcing acceptable use policy. Application control policy is managed centrally and applied without manual intervention on individual devices.

USB control

USB control lets IT administrators configure whether managed devices can read from or write to USB storage devices. This reduces the risk of data being copied off school devices, malware being introduced via USB drives, and unauthorised peripheral connections. Rules can be set across the full estate or targeted at specific device groups. USB control policy is applied through the Senso agent and is logged for audit purposes.

Multi-school IT administration

One console. Every school. Role-appropriate access.

Senso IT Operations is built for multi-school IT administration. Trust IT administrators, school IT admins and help-desk staff each see the right scope, from the full estate to a single site, without sharing excessive access.

  • Trust IT admin: full device estate view, all schools, all capabilities
  • School IT admin: full view of their school, site-level actions
  • Help-desk: access to relevant device and ticket information
  • Central policy with school-level exceptions where permitted
  • Cross-site reporting: compliance status, inventory, security posture
  • Full audit trail of every administrative action across all tiers

Central administration and audit

Every policy change, script execution, remote session, power action and configuration update is logged with the initiating administrator, timestamp and target device or group. Central audit logs support compliance reviews and incident investigation.

Relationship with Asset Management

Asset Management is part of the IT Operations solution family. Device records, hardware specs, software inventory, purchase data and lifecycle status live in the same console as remote support and policy actions. No separate asset database to maintain.

Relationship with Service Desk

Service Desk connects IT support tickets to the devices and users involved. When resolving a ticket, remote control, script execution and device information are available in the same context, no tool-switching mid-investigation.
